If you're reading this, you're aware of the challenge that Missy and the Clauson family are facing. Your decision to visit this page means the world to her. It is a testament to the overwhelming love, support, and community spirit surrounding her. Our goal is to help alleviate the financial burden that will arise with the surgery and treatment and provide some helpful services to lighten the load and keep Missy and her family as comfortable as possible.

We have estimated the additional non-medical expenses to be a weekly expense of $1,700. This estimate includes gas and lodging during treatment visits to Gainesville, house cleaning, groceries outside of the meal train, and caregiver and kid care when needed. The aim is to ensure the Clauson family can focus on what's most important: Missy's recovery.

We will have a clearer picture as time goes on. What we currently understand is there will be a minimum of 12 weeks of accrued expenses. Additionally, out-of-pocket medical will total $18,000. Therefore, we are setting our initial fundraising goal at $40,000.
