Reading is everywhere! You read at school, at the grocery store, and even while watching TV! Reading is important because it expands your knowledge (makes you super smart), vocabulary, and even conversation skills. It also sparks creativity and helps you learn in all other subject areas.
It is equally important that what you are reading is good literature. When you read a book that you are interested in and that challenges you, you are likely to learn from that book and develop strong skills. When a book seems boring or too easy, it does not benefit the reader as much as it should. Miss Rachel, as well as the school library, has a wide variety of books for all interests and levels!
