About Me

Mariflor Medrano is currently an Instructor of Science at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco, CA. Mariflor has new found appreciation and love for the physical sciences. She will be teaching 9th grade Physics and a upper-division elective Making, Hacking, and Tinkering (lovingly nicknamed AP Legos). She loves seeing students be creative and using physics as inspiration. Her favorite moments are when students think about the most recent class discussion and ask a question that blows everyone's minds.

Outside of the classroom, Mariflor can be found dancing, traveling, or both. Mariflor is also a performing artist with San Francisco based Filipino folk Parangal Dance Company. She is also currently a haumana at the Academy of Hawaiian Arts, under the direction of Kumu Mark Keali'i Ho'omali. Mariflor is blessed to have the opportunities and resources to travel.
