Missituk School - Spring 2024 Book Fair
The Missituk School is having an ONLINE book fair with Porter Square Books from April 7-14, 2024
Go to the Porter Square Books website and type Coupon Code MISSITUKBOOKFAIR24 at check out
NEW! Order at school! If you don't want to order online, your student can bring cash to school any day that week (April 8-12). PTO volunteers will assist them in choosing their books, and we will make the order. Please write down any instructions if you'd like specific book selections of if you would like to donate the change. Books ordered with cash will be delivered to classrooms after 1-2 weeks.
Recommended Books
For this book fair, you are welcome to browse the Porter Square Books website and get any book you want, but sometimes families like to have more guidance, and that's why we put together this page of recommendations.
The Missituk PTO put together the following list of books that we have enjoyed reading with our own kids. Please let us know if you have any questions or if you'd like other recommendations depending on what your kids like.
Summer Reading Lists By Grade
Picture Books
These are recent picture books that celebrate diversity and tell stories with beautiful artwork and words. Great for kids of all ages.
Chapter Books
These are shorter chapter books for kids who are learning to read, or who enjoy longer stories but still like plenty of pictures.
Included with this list are a few nonfiction books.
Graphic Novels
These are the latest graphic novels. Mostly fantasy, realistic fiction, and folklore.
Middle Grade
Middle Grade novels are longer books mostly for ages 8-12. We included diverse titles of fantasy, fiction and nonfiction in this list.
