Christian Clifford loves to visit the California missions with his family. He especially enjoys learning about the founder of the first nine missions, Saint Junípero Serra. This passion led him to write Saint Junípero Serra: Making Sense of the History and Legacy (CreateSpace, 2015). After its publication, he took his son’s advice to write a book for children, recommending that it be called Who Was Saint Junípero Serra? (Tau, 2016). The third book in his missions trilogy is Meet Pablo Tac: Indian from the Far Shores of California (CreateSpace, 2017).

Clifford received a B.A. in Social Science from the University of Great Falls (Montana) and M.A. in Catholic School Teaching from the University of San Francisco. He has been a teacher in the schools of the Archdiocese of San Francisco since 1997. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and son.
