The its core, The Mission River Band exists to create—and re-create—the music we love, in the spirit of friendship and a shared commitment to grow as musicians. We play not just for the joy of it, but in support of causes that matter deeply to us.
Some people listen to classic rock and blues. Others thrive on the energy of a live show. Some collect the records and memorabilia. And then there are those of us who feel compelled to bring the music to life again—onstage, with heart and soul.
The Mission River Band delivers the timeless sounds of the “golden age of rock”. Our repertoire leans heavily toward classic rock and up-tempo party music with a few classic R&B favorites and unexpected deep cuts.
Formed in 2006, MRB began as a group of friends—busy professionals, devoted family men, and active community members—who started jamming together simply for the love of music and camaraderie. What started informally quickly grew into something more. After months of rehearsal, we took to the stage at private parties and local taverns. The response exceeded all expectations, and the band found new energy and purpose in refining our sound and expanding our setlist.
The music got tighter and our mission evolved. What sets MRB apart is our dedication to using music to make a difference. We’ve proudly performed at benefit events and fundraisers for organizations such as Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Lumen Christi Parish School, Boerner Botanical Gardens, Guitars for Veterans, Special Olympics, ABCD (After Breast Cancer Diagnosis), Hunger Task Force, and the Retinal Research Foundation.
We invite you to join us in celebrating the music that moves us—played with passion, purpose, and soul. There’s nothing better than classic rock… with a reason.
