The day after the Anomaly is Mission Day with XF!


For the third time in Naha City, the theme of Mission Day is to "ENCOUNTER(CAPTURE)" fellow agents while enjoying missions, as well as beautiful scenery and delicious meals.


Simply acknowledging each other's efforts in playing the same game, Ingress, or exchanging a light nod already conveys the essence of "ENCOUNTER(CAPTURE)".


Three areas have been prepared: Kokusai-Dori, Okinawa Prefectural Government Park, and Shuri, so please enjoy the "Mission Day".

■Mission Introduction

□Kokusai-dori version

(Distance:5.28km・Estimated (probable) time:1 hour 10 minutes)

Starting from Makishi Station on the Yui Rail, this mission offers a delightful stroll along Kokusai-Dori.

Every Sunday from 12:00 to 18:00, the "Transit Mall" event takes place, turning the stretch from the Prefectural Office North Exit Intersection (in front of Palette Kumoji) to the Saion Bridge Intersection (Monorail Makishi Station) into a pedestrian paradise.

Ideal for agents who wish to indulge in food tasting and those seeking to conveniently earn medals within limited mission playtime.

①Tenbusu Naha(てんぷす那覇)
"Tenpusu," which means "navel" in Okinawan dialect, serves as a hub for promoting Ryukyu traditional culture. At Tenpusu, you'll find the Naha Traditional Crafts Museum, experiential workshops, and select shops. Be sure to drop by. The icon represents one of Okinawa's symbols, the "Shurei Gate."


②Tsuboya(壼屋)
"Tsuboya" was a gathering place for pottery kilns during the Ryukyu Kingdom era. Today, it remains a popular stroll route with its charming cobblestone streets and lined with old buildings. Enjoy exploring pottery shops, tea houses, museums, and more. The icon represents the "Karate Kaikan" of Okinawa.


③Nouren Plaza(のうれんプラザ)
Fresh island vegetables, fresh fish, and prepared foods are sold at low prices, and the market is crowded with local customers during morning activities. The facility is open 24 hours a day, and there are a variety of fruit stores, flower shops, restaurants, and general stores to enjoy. The icon is the modern and stylish Naha City Hall. 


④Makishi Public Market(牧志公設市場)
On the first floor, you can see colorful red and blue fish, lobsters, precious semi-shrimps, and warajebi, and feel Okinawan food culture such as pork, beef, and rare Okinawan pickles, which are indispensable for Okinawan dining. The second floor is lined with cafeterias where you can take advantage of the ingredients. The icon is "Shuri Castle" which is under reconstruction.


⑤Midorigaoka Park(緑ヶ丘公園)
Midorigaoka Park is a place of relaxation in the center of Naha City. Its course includes Ukishima Street and Paradise Street, which are lined with stores selling miscellaneous goods and secondhand clothing. Please enjoy visiting the stores as you head there. The icon is a "gusuku (castle)" with distinctive Okinawan stone walls.


⑥Saion Ufu Shisa(さいおん うふシーサー)
This is "Ufu (big) Shisa" located in the shopping area called "Saion Square. Shisa is worshipped as a guardian deity to protect houses from evil spirits and misfortune. The "Saion Ufu Shisa" is illuminated at night and is very powerful. The icon is the "Saion Ufu Shisa.

□Onoyama Park Area Version

Starting from Yui Rail Okumuyama Station. This mission takes you to the Naval Shelter Park, Karate Kaikan, and Okubuyama Park. The tour will visit the East China Sea, Naha city center, a hill from which you can see Shurijo Castle, the waterfront of Manko Lake, and Okumuyama Park.

⑦Moriguchi Park(森口公園)
A forest called Kushinutaki Kanimanutaki (Oroku no Utaki) is located at the back of the park, where a deity is worshipped. It is located on high ground and was once the site of the Oroku Gusuku. The icon is the Iriomote wildcat, a rare special natural treasure that lives in a narrow habitat distribution area worldwide. 


⑧Navy Headquarters Underground Park(海軍壕公園)
At the end of World War II, the Japanese Navy's headquarters bunker was located here, and the site was a fierce battlefield. The icon is a dugong, a symbol of the abundance of the sea.


⑨Okinawa Karate Hall(空手会館)
The Karate Kaikan is a facility that promotes "Okinawa, the birthplace of karate" both domestically and internationally, and serves as a base for learning the essence of traditional karate. Visitors can learn about the history of karate. The icon is the mysterious Okinawa rail, the only one in Japan that cannot fly. 


⑩Manko Waterbird and Wetland Center(漫湖水鳥・湿地センター)
The Lake Man'nko Waterfowl and Wetland Center serves as a base facility for educational activities, research, and observation of Lake Man'nko, and has an observation observation observation room on the second floor from which visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Man'nko. The icon is the Yanbaru long-armed scarab beetle, the largest of the Japanese scarab beetle species and found only in the northern part of Okinawa (Yanbaru). 


⑪Manko Park(漫湖公園)
Lake Mangko is one of the nation's leading migratory areas for shorebirds and plovers, and is a habitat for many water birds, etc. The waterfront has become a park where citizens can relax. Please enjoy strolling in the waterfront park. The icon is the Noguchi woodpecker (origin of the name: Mr. Noguchi's special woodpecker), which is the largest and is found only in northern Okinawa (Yanbaru). 


⑫Onoyama Park(奥武山公園)
It is the first comprehensive sports park in Okinawa Prefecture where many prefectural residents can easily, safely, and comfortably spend time. Many citizens run in the park, and it is often used as a venue for festivals. The icon is a venomous "habu" (habu is a poisonous species)!

Starting from Yui Rail Shuri Station. This mission takes you around the Shuri area. You can enjoy deep Shuri other than Shuri Castle.

⑬Bengadake Park(弁ヶ嶽公園)
Bengadake Park is the highest peak in Shuri overlooking Seifu Utaki. This area is called Bennugatake, where the king's rituals were held during the Ryukyu Dynasty. The icon is the deigo, the prefectural flower of Okinawa. There is a legend that the more deigo blooms, the more typhoons will come. 


Torase Park(虎頭公園)
The park is located on a 130-meter-high Ryukyu limestone hill that stretches along the northern side of Shuri Akahira. The name comes from the fact that the rocks at the top look like a tiger's head, hence the name Turajiyama (虎瀬山) or Turayama (虎山). The icon is the hibiscus, which blooms all year round in Okinawa. 


Gibocho shugoshin hinokami(儀保町守護神・火の神)
Hinukan, the god of fire, is worshipped as a god who protects the house and home, and the Hinukan here is worshipped as the guardian god of Giho Town. The icon is "Sandanka," one of the three most famous flowers in Okinawa. 


Sakiyama Park(崎山公園)
Sakiyama Park is an old resting place with the Uchaya Goten Ishijishi (stone lion) and Utaki, a sacred space in Okinawa. The icon is the Kanhizakura (scarlet cherry tree), which begins to bloom around January in Okinawa. 


Shurisakiyamacho observatory(首里崎山町の展望台)
This is an observatory in Sakiyama Park from which you can see the Ryukyu Garden and Shikinaen below. The icon is a bougainvillea often planted in Okinawa for hedges and gate arches. 


Shuri Textile Museum suikara(首里染織館suikara)
The Shuri Textile Museum suikara was established as a place to learn and connect the traditional techniques of Shuri weaving. There is also a gallery displaying the latest in Shuri-ori bottle weaving, and a hands-on program for dyeing Ryukyu bottle weaving is available. The icon is the moonflower, also known as "sannin" in Okinawa.
