Dear Parents/ Guardians,

Hooray for Second Grade! I am so happy to welcome your family to my classroom. In this fundamental year of Second Grade, there will be lots of growing and thriving for our scholars.

Important dates to remember:

Monday, August 24: I will be contacting families to greet you all and get some information needed to prepare for distance learning.

Thursday, August 27: Material Distribution at Princeton from 3-6 pm.

Friday, August 28: Mock Day/ Orientation from 10:30 am- 12:00 pm. The invitation will be sent out soon.

I graduated from Bowie State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education- Go Bulldogs!

Children are our future. The outcome will be the result of how children grow into their identities.

I am a lifelong learner, and I take advantage of opportunities to learn anything new I can apply in my classroom to add to the overall learning experience for children.

As an educator who loves what she does, I am truly, candidly invested in your child, and I have their best interest at heart.

I am wholeheartedly devoted to providing inspiration, offering encouragement, and guiding students to success. I see your child as a human being first before a student. Mental and emotional well being is a priority of mine as well. I care about the whole child, not merely academic performance.

I strive for a sense of community in the classroom by actively encouraging respect for one another and modeling it as well.

I apply research-based practices when lesson planning. Every child can and will learn. I will find out how your child learns and how they learn best. If one way does not work, there are other ways- our scholars will excel.
