e-sgol is a project funded by the Welsh Government that provides online revision sessions for all subjects, taught by specialist teachers who are currently teaching within Wales. Revision sessions can be attended when they are live, and can also be accessed or revisited at a later date via the e-sgol YouTube channel. Click here to look at their Welsh revision resources for all four exam types.
All revision sessions are presented through the medium of English.
As the exam board who writes the our exam papers, the WJEC website offers revision resources that can be accessed online and worked through at your own pace. There are no online videos but there are some additional files that can be downloaded to help complete some of the tasks. Click here to look at their Welsh revision resources for all four exam types.
Whilst most of the tasks have instructions in Welsh and English, some parts of the task instructions are only written in Welsh. See you teacher if you need help with these.
These resources were created by me during my own teaching career and given to pupils across a range of year groups.
The AVOCADOS language mat was given to all year groups in order to support all work, but with a main focus on written work and speaking tasks.
The POEQ language mats for Uned 1 and Uned 2 were resources given to Years 10 and 11 to help structure speaking tasks and revise key sentence patterns for the speaking exams.
Since 2019, Mrs Davies from Bedwas High School has been developing podcasts that support her own pupils, and many other people, as they learn Welsh.
All of her Learn Welsh with Mrs Davy podcasts podcasts can be found on Spotify (click here), Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and a number of other platforms.
Ms Bow, who previously taught at Islwyn High School, has also prepared a number of revision resources since 2019, in the form of quizzes on Blooket and Quizlet.
