I have been working with students since 2010 and am passionate about helping young people grow both inside and outside the classroom. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from CSU Channel Islands, and later received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master of Education from the University of La Verne.

My love for education began with my grandmother, who worked as a paraeducator and was especially passionate about the Migrant Education Program. As a child, I loved visiting classrooms with her and seeing the connections she made with students from all walks of life. She showed me firsthand how meaningful education can be.

As an educator, and as someone who understands the joys and challenges of raising a family, being part of a blended family, and balancing a busy life, I believe that learning is a lifelong journey. My goal is to teach students more than just curriculum—I want them to think deeply, ask questions, apply their learning to the real world, and continue growing as individuals.

One piece of advice from my grandfather has stayed with me throughout my teaching career: “Always tell your students the truth. Teach them about history...the good, the bad, and the ugly.” My grandparents are a big part of why I became a teacher.

My role is to spark curiosity, inspire students to try new things, encourage deep thinking, and, most importantly, make learning FUN!
