About Miss Coffeen

Welcome Third Graders!

Hello everyone and welcome to third grade! I am so excited work with each and every one of you. We are going to have an AMAZING year. We will be spending a lot of time together this year, so it is important that you get to know about me.

I graduated this past May from the University of South Dakota with a degree in Elementary Education along with a reading minor. I student taught at Beresford Elementary all last year in a 2^nd grade classroom. I am originally from Nebraska, so I moved back here to start my teaching career. This will my first year as a teacher, and I cannot think of a better place to be than in 3^rd grade at Hitchcock.

Next summer I am getting married to my fiancé, Matt. Matt has a son named Hunter, and I get the honor of being his step-mom very soon! Hunter is 7 years old and will be in 2^nd grade this year. We recently got a cat named Poppy, and she is our cute fur baby. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, watching Netflix, and traveling!

They are responsible for filling this out daily, so please sign or comment in it each night. I am thrilled to get the opportunity to work with you and your child this year!
