Assam Youth Empowering Association (AYEA) was formed to help promote and empower the youth of Assam. The association aims to provide a platform for all the youth to showcase their talent and hard work giving them the opportunity to further improve their skills and compete in Nation-wide events

ABOUT MISS ASSAM 2022

EVENT SUMMARY

• Miss Assam 2022 will be held in the month of August 2022

• Will be the official Beauty Pageant for the State of Assam

• Part of the newly formed North-East Beauty Pageant Organisation which comprises of all the official beauty pageants of the 8 states of Northeast India, namely Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Sikkim.

• NeBPO will act as the umbrella organisation for all the state-run beauty pageant shows and will host Miss Northeast in September 2022 first host state being Nagaland

• Many states which are part of NeBPO are being provided financial assistance by their respective state Governments such as Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Nagaland

• Winner and runners-up of all official state pageants will get the opportunity to take part in the NeBPO show, Miss Northeast

• Pageant Director Mr. Shyamanga Protim Kashyap

• The winners of Miss Assam will also get International exposure through NeBPO which will help them in their career path

EVENT OBJECTIVE

• To promote beauty and uniqueness of our Assamese heritage, national and international cultural awareness, and community pride

• To provide a platform where Assamese women can display their beauty, skills, cultural pride, leadership and intelligence in order to further advance themselves in their field

• To foster community development, cultural exchange, business and economic opportunity, and tourism between Assam and other states • Provide financial assistance in the form of cash prizes and employment opportunities to young Assamese women

• Enable contestants to serve as role models for other young women with similar goals and characteristics

• Encourage contestants to value personal achievements, creative accomplishments, a healthy lifestyle, and community involvement

ELIGIBILITY

The requirements for the contestants to participate in the event are the follows-

◊Resident of Assam

◊ Indigenous Assamese ◊ Height- 5’3 ft and above

◊ No visible tattoo or injury marks

◊ Qualification- Minimum Class 10th pass

◊ Age- 18 to 26 years

◊ Relationship Status : Single
