My Teaching Philosophy 

My teaching philosophy is that all students are unique and have different needs so they must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially. I wish to create this atmosphere where students are able to meet their full potential and beyond. I will provide a safe environment where students are comfortable to share their ideas and take risks in their learning journey. I plan to bring an open mind, positive attitude, and high expectations to the classroom daily. I believe as a community member in the school I owe it to my students and school community to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to my job in the hope that I can inspire and encourage these traits in children as well. Lastly, I believe there are four main elements that are conducive to students learning in my classroom:

1.     The teacher’s role is to act as a guide.

2.     Students must have hands-on learning.

3.     Students must be able to have choices and let their curiosity drive their learning.

4.     Students must have the opportunity to practice all skills in a safe environment.
