Ava Kate is a 10-year-old fifth grader at Thorsby Elementary School and a competitive baton twirler. She has represented her passion for the sport across Alabama, earning numerous titles along the way. Her favorite tricks include juggling three batons and performing a flawless three-turn, both of which showcase her skill, determination, and love for the sport.

As Miss Alabama Emma Terry’s Rising Star, Ava Kate has cherished every moment of this incredible journey. One of her most memorable experiences was attending Miss America Week in Orlando, Florida. Highlights of her trip included participating in the Miss America’s Little Sister Tea Party, interviewing Miss America Abbie Stockard during a mock press conference, and proudly walking across the iconic Miss America stage.

Ava Kate is honored to be part of the Miss Alabama Rising Stars program and is excited to continue shining, twirling, and inspiring others along the way.

Dylaney Pendergrass is the 9-year-old daughter of Jesse and Lindsay Pendergrass .  She is a student at Leeds Elementary .  

Chamberlain Barnes is the 9 year old daughter of Brian and Anna Barnes.  She attends Briarwood Christian School. Chamberlain loves dance, gymnastics, cheer, and all kinds of water sports.  Chamberlain has one older brother, Jamison, and a beloved dachshund, Missy.
