When will my child receive her crown and sash? Crowns and sashes will be given when your child arrives for rehearsals for the Miss or Teen pageant.
May I stay with my child during rehearsal? Parents are not allowed in the auditorium during rehearsals. However, they are more than welcome to wait in the lobby if it makes them more comfortable.
When are rising stars paired/selected? Miss orientation is the first weekend in March and Teen orientation is at the beginning of January. During orientation, the Teen and Miss contestants notify the Rising Star directors if they are in need of Rising Stars or if they have already been selected. From there, the Rising Star Directors pull from the waiting list (linked on the Waiting List Page).
When will official paperwork be sent to parents for those who are selected? Paperwork and other important information is sent to those selected within one week of orientation.
What do Rising Stars wear?
Rehearsal: Comfortable clothes and shoes.
Evening Show: Your child will wear a dress of ANY color along with her crown (provided) and sash (provided). Be sure that her shoes are appropriate for dancing. Examples are provided on our "Gallery" page.
