A little about me; I grew up in northern, rural Wisconsin in a town of less than 900. During my time living in a small town I enjoyed raising chickens and ducks on my parents' hobby farm, playing three sports (volleyball, basketball, and softball) and biking around the countryside with my friends and family. As I've gotten older I have continued to stay active by coaching volleyball and softball, reffing basketball, running, and going on long walks with my dog, Anakin. I've recently moved from Wisconsin to Orange City, Iowa where my fiancé, Jackson, progresses through the Physician Assistant Program at Northwestern College. I am extremely excited to be starting my Iowa teaching journey at HMS Middle School and can't wait to get back to enjoying all the perks of small town living.
Educational/Professional Background:
I attended University of Wisconsin Eau Claire from 2019 - 2022 and received my bachelors degree in Broadfield Social Studies with a Dual Emphasis in History and Geography. After graduating from college I accepted my first teaching job at New Richmond High School teaching 10th and 11th grade U.S. History and Civics. I taught at New Richmond for three years. This year I will be starting my fourth year by teaching 5th and 6th grade Social Studies.
I also coached JV Volleyball and JV Softball at New Richmond for three years. I'm excited to continue coaching as the Varsity Assistant Coach at HMS High School this year and help out at other athletic events.
