Reading:
Literacy activities: total of 30 min. Can include books, sight word practice and/or writing.
- Complete Reading log.
Language Arts: “In the Rain with Baby Duck” by Amy Hest. Listen to the story.
- Complete Story Map- problem, solution, title, characters, setting.
Phonics: Have your child read the short story “The Hen, Meg”
- Answer comprehension questions.
Math: Chapter 10 Lesson 1 - Found in math booklet (Booklet is located at the back of week 1)
- Pg. 573-578 Three dimensional shapes
- Purpose of lesson - student can answer the question - “How can you show which shapes stack, roll, slide?”
- Hands on 10.1 and Practice and homework 10.1
- Cut, sort, glue the 3D shapes. Follow directions on each page.
- 3D shapes to be cut - second page of week 1. (reference photo #1)

Religion: Seeds are Good: Pg. 115-116
- Read and complete activities. (You may find this packet on your week 2 side.)
- Extension activity- plant a seed in soil and water it daily. Observe the plant as it grows. If you do not have any flower seeds - try a seed from a fruit or vegetable!
