INFORMATION

ADMISSION TO EVENT: $10 per seat. $ 5 per seat ages 4-10 Ages 3 & under are admitted free. Doors will open 30 minutes before the show finale and ticket purchases can be made using cash or debit/credit card. Note: If using debit / credit card to purchase event tickets, there will be an additional $2 service fee charged.
PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY: Pictures can be taken, however; NO flash photography is allowed.
WHO CAN COMPETE: Miss High & Miss Low Country is open to any female of the ages specified for each division. Contestants from anywhere in North Carolina, Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia, will compete for Miss High Country. Contestants from South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee, will compete for Miss Low Country.
AWARDS & SIDE AWARDS: Each division will have runner-up and an overall winner, and the People’s choice winner. The photogenic and OOC awards are optional. Winners in the Little Miss, Preteen Divisions and the Older Divisions will have the opportunity (option) to compete for the America’s United States National Title in 2026, and their entry fee will be discounted if they choose to advance to that pageant system; they will be required to pay the media fee. Advancing is NOT required; this is just an additional prize.
SIDE AWARDS: The Baby Divisions and Young Divisions will offer best fun casual wear, and best dress for each division. The Older Divisions will offer the Caring Crowns Congeniality Award for each division.
OPTIONAL COMPETITION AWARDS: We will offer a winner and first runner-up award in each division for each optional.
PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD: Each division will offer a special award to the People’s Choice Award Winner. The votes will be in the form of non-perishable food items. Each food item will count as one vote. A box will count for how many individual items are in the box. Example: a box of 20 granola bars counts as 20 individual votes. The boxes will be set up before the pageant finale and will be placed in the auditorium lobby area for voting. Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony.
DEADLINE: Payment and all paperwork are due October 31st.
AGE GROUPS
The High & Low-Country Pageant will host the following age groups:
Baby Divisions: Limited to first 10 paid entrants in each division High/Low. Mom / Guardian will walk on stage with all Baby Divisions contestants. Age for these divisions is as of November 07, 2025.
Baby – 0 to 12 months;
Wee Miss – 12+ to 24 months;
Mini Miss – 2 to 3
Young Divisions: Limited to first 10 paid entrants in each division High /Low
Age for these divisions is as of November 07, 2025. These divisions will compete in in the following categories:
Tiny Miss – 4 to 5: No make-up or hair extensions; tights may be worn and shoes with no more than 1” heel.
Little Miss- 6 to 8: No make-up or hair extensions; 1” heel max on shoes. Winners receive an official crown and sash and, an entry fee paid to America’s United States Pearl Princess Pageant in 2025 if the winner chooses to advance (not required).
Preteen- 9 to 11: Preteen may wear minimal makeup of light foundation, light blush, lip gloss, and shoes with 2” heel max. No false eyelashes or eye shadows, and no hair extensions. Winners receive an official crown and sash and, an entry fee paid to America’s United States Pearl Princess Pageant in 2025 if the winner chooses to advance.
Older Divisions: Limited to first paid 10 entrants in each division High/Low
Age for all the Older Divisions is as of November 7th, 2025.
Jr Miss – 12 to 14
Miss Teen – 15 to 18
Miss – 19 to 29. Miss contestants can be of any marital status and can have kids.
Mrs.– 30 and up, must be married
Ms.- 30 and up must be single or divorced
Curvy Ms.- 21 and up, any marital status, size 16 and up
COMPETITION PHASES:
Scored Competiton
This is a LOCAL pageant and we do not want to tax your finances; for this event we just want it to fit well, and be dressy enough for a prom, or cocktail party, and look fantastic on you. Each contestant will have up to 60 seconds on stage for each phase of the on-stage competition.
Baby divisions will compete in: Short Party Dress or Sunday Dress or Dolly Dress 50%, and Fun Casual Wear 50%. No make-up or hair extensions are allowed for these divisions and only flat shoes or tights are for baby divisions. Winners receive an official crown and sash.
Tiny Miss contestants will compete in Short Party Dress / Dolly Dress or Long Gown 50%, and Fun Casual Wear 50%.
Little Miss contestants will compete in Short Party Dress / Dolly Dress or Long Gown 50%, and Fun Casual Wear 50%.
Preteen contestants will compete in Party Dress or Long Gown 50%, and Fun Casual Wear 50%.
The Older Divisions will compete in Short Party Dress / Cocktail Dress or Long Gown, or Formal Pantsuit 35%; Fitness wear 35%; Interview 30%. All older divisions may wear full makeup if desired and no restrictions on heel height for shoes. Winners receive official crown and sash, an entry fee paid to the America’s United States National Pageant in 2025, if the winner chooses to advance (not required).
Interview for Older Divisions Only will take place before the pageant so please arrive with hair and makeup ready. Questions will be taken from the info sheet (the last sheet of this application form). When possible, type the form and if unable then please write neatly and legibly. Only Older Divisions will have Interviews. (Babies Divisions and Young Divisions do not compete in interviews).
Opening Introduction: Contestants will be introduced as a group on stage and contestants will wear an outfit of their choice in opening number colors, black and/or white. Opening number is NOT judged. Once introduced, contestants will leave the stage and get ready for the Fun Fashion/Fitness Wear portion or next optional.
Fun Fashion (Younger Divisions): will be presented on stage after the opening and introductions. This outfit should be fun and fit the contestant's style and personality; the outfit can be shorts, jeans, skirts, dresses, or cute rompers. Shoes are the contestant's choice and can be flats, boots, booties, tennis shoes, or appropriate heels for the contestant’s age.
Fitness (Older Divisions): will be presented on stage after the opening and introductions. This outfit should any type of fitness/ active wear. two-piece sets are fine. (Jr Miss must have a 4-inch inseam for shorts and no more than 2 inches of mid-riff shown.)
Eveningwear will be presented on stage following the fun casual wear phase. Dress can be a short or long dress, a high/low style dress, or a pantsuit/jumpsuit. Baby and Younger Divisions may wear short dresses, dolly dresses or long dresses. Shoes should be appropriate for the age division competing in. Choose the evening wear that makes you feel good and compliments you and your personality.

Photogenic- Includes two photo entries, extra entries are $5 a piece!
OOC (Western Wear)- Any cute western/country themed outfit!

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:
8:30 am to 4 pm. Come to the facility as ready to go as possible
8:30 to 9:00 – Older division contestant arrival and entry into dressing rooms
9:00 to 10:00 – Short meeting and Rehearsals
10:00 to 11:00 Break.
11:00 Older division interviews and baby and princess arrivals.
11:00-12:00 Younger divisions meeting and rehearsals
1:00 Show starts
This schedule is subject to change and if changes occur, you will be notified immediately. The final schedule will be posted and emailed by October 28th, 2025.
MAKEUP AND HAIR / BACKSTAGE HELPER: There will be no artists/stylist allowed backstage. We suggest older contestants arrive with hair and makeup ready for the interview. You will have time to touch up and become stage ready if needed and you may also leave if desired to become ready. If a contestant chooses to leave, she must return at least 30 minutes before the show finale begins OR her interview begins. One female parent/guardian will be allowed backstage to assist their child for all divisions that are Jr Miss and Younger. Teen Division and Up will not be allowed to have someone backstage and we will provide adequate assistance backstage for those divisions. Note: The person assisting their child backstage MUST be female and MUST still purchase a ticket. We will provide a lanyard or wristband to the female companion.
