The Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office with an area of 20,000 square meters, is based at Camp Lucas Naranjo, Lower Lamac, Oroquieta City located at the back of the Provincial Capitol building. The name “Camp Lucas Naranjo” was derived from the name of Major Lucas O. Naranjo, a former veteran soldier who fought and defended the province against the Japanese during World War II (1939-1945). The unit undergone significant changes and reformations brought about by time, shift in governmental administration and circumstantial necessity.
Camp Naranjo has been commanded by distinguished officers of notable achievements in both their military and police services.
Vested with the authority as the PNP’s main operating and administrative unit in the province, Mis Occ PPO is now headed by its Officer in Charge, MOCPPO, PCOL MARLON L QUIMNO, who is assisted by his deputies for administration (DPDA) and operations (DPDO).
Serving Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Officer as its subordinate operating units are three City Police Stations (CPS) and fourteen Municipal Police Stations (MPS). Mis Occ PPO utilizes the two Provincial Mobile Force Companies (PMFCs) for public safety and internal security operations. 1st PMFC covers from Jimenez to Concepcion and 2nd PMFC covers from Sinacaban to Don Victoriano.
