Examining the Tension of Opposites and Historical Erasure in Mo Dao Zu Shi

The third and final project required us to make an adaptation of a source text--either to transform it into a new medium, use the adaptation to comment on an issue, use the adaptation to critique the original, or some combination of those adaptation styles. I decided to use this project to adapt a short story fanfiction titled "Reconciliation of Memory" by Zombubble into a webtoon format, whilst emphasizing two main themes:  the struggle of accepting two opposing views as mutually possible, as well as the concept that "history is told by the victors." I aimed to heavily focus on developing the extensive use of third-person narration into a visual format, focusing on space, lighting, perspective, and artistic techniques to portray these themes.
