Inspiration Behind the Book

Mischievous Murphy was inspired by a Maine Coon Kitten, named Murphy, who came to live with me as a tiny ball of fluff with oval green eyes. Her quirky and naughty personality easily made this book come to life.

Another inspiration for the book came from my grandson, Ethan, who developed serious health issues. After two surgeries, overnights and numerous other visits to BBCH, he continues to thrive. His family extends much gratitude to the BBCH team for their compassion, professionalism, and expertise!

This book is dedicated to all the children who will read this book and to the following:

My five grandchildren, Ethan, Emma, Charlotte, Anders and Anya.

To all the children recovering or have recovered from a serious illness and to the incredible staff at BBCH for what they have done for Ethan and for what they do for every child under their care.
