About Us

Marine Invertebrate Systematics and Biodiversity Laboratory is a research group at Centre for Marine and Coastal Studies (CEMACS), Universiti Sains Malaysia. We aspire to be the be leading the science of animal classification (Systematics and Taxonomy) especially focusing on marine invertebrates in the region. Apart from animal classification, we are also interested in the study of their natural history and evolution.

Currently, this laboratory manages the collection of the Reference Collection Centre in CEMACS. We are in the process of upgrading the records, database, as well as the exhibits.
