Structural Reform, Aggregate Productivity and Resource Allocation

JSPS Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B)

Research Purpose

This research program aims at understanding both qualitative and quantitative impacts of growth strategies in Japan, including deregulation, labor market reform, and economic integration using general equilibrium models of heterogeneous agents and microeconomic empirical analyses.

We hope we will provide assessment of the structural reforms that have been made so far and guidance for desirable reforms that will be made in the future.
