Mirror Reflection ("the Game") is developed by Detrear Yaeger (Playmatrix Studio), called "we" or "us" in this policy. This policy explains what data the Game collects, why it is collected, and who it is shared with.
If you play as a guest
Your game progress is stored only on your device, using Unity's PlayerPrefs, and no account is created. The Game still sends some data to Google AdMob so it can show ads, and to Unity and Google Play if you make a purchase. This is explained in the sections below.
If you sign in with Google
Firebase Authentication receives your Google account identifier, email address and display name.
We store the following in Google Cloud Firestore, linked to your account: the username you choose and how many times you have changed it, your total score, highest level reached, total XP and player level, your remaining hints, selected avatar and chosen element, and the dates your account was created and last updated. For each level you play we also store your best score, stars earned, best time and whether XP was awarded. If you buy Remove Ads while signed in, we also record in your account that you have bought it.
If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging gives your device a token so we can send you Daily Challenge reminders. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
In-app purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles your payment, and we never receive or store your card or other payment details.
The Game connects to Google Play Billing through Unity In-App Purchasing, which sends some purchase information to Unity. This is explained in the next section.
Unity In-App Purchasing is a service from Unity Technologies. It sends information to Unity when you start a purchase, and when a purchase goes through, is confirmed or fails.
This information includes your device model, operating system version, language settings, total storage space and when your device was last started. It also includes the Game's version and when the Game was installed, the item involved with its name, description, price and currency, the purchase receipt from Google Play with its order number and purchase token, and the reason a purchase failed if it did. Unity may also receive an installation identifier that Unity creates for the Game on your device. Unity receives your IP address and may use it to work out your approximate location. Unity In-App Purchasing does not send your payment card details or your Advertising ID.
Unity uses this information to provide Unity In-App Purchasing, for analytics, and to help prevent fraud. Unity handles most of this information on our behalf as our service provider, but it makes its own decisions about purchase and billing records. The information may be transferred to and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States. Unity explains how it handles and keeps this information in its Game Player and App User Privacy Policy: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
The Game has no separate setting to turn this off. This only happens when a purchase is started, goes through or fails.
To ask for this information to be deleted, email us at detrearyaeger@gmail.com and we will pass your request to Unity, or contact Unity directly at unity-iap-contact@unity3d.com. Please include the order number from your Google Play receipt email so the request can be matched to your purchase.
The Game uses the following services. Each one is covered by its own privacy policy.
Google AdMob shows ads: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Messaging provide sign in, cloud save and notifications: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google Play Billing processes in-app purchases: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Google Play Install Referrer tells us how the Game was installed: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Unity In-App Purchasing connects the Game to Google Play Billing: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
The Game shows ads through Google AdMob. Interstitial ads can appear between levels. Rewarded ads only play when you choose to watch one, for example to retry or continue a level, get a hint or double your score. Buying Remove Ads turns off interstitial ads. Rewarded ads stay available after you buy it, because they only play when you ask for them.
AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID and related identifiers to show and measure ads, including personalised ads where you have agreed to them. AdMob also receives your IP address, which it may use to work out your approximate location, along with information about how you interact with ads and technical details used to measure ad performance and prevent fraud.
Where required by law, the Game shows a consent form when you first launch it. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in your device settings.
The Game declares the following permissions.
Internet and network state, to sync progress, sign in, load ads and process purchases.
Notifications, to send Daily Challenge reminders if you allow them.
Advertising ID, to show and measure ads.
Billing, to process in-app purchases.
Install Referrer, to see how the Game was installed.
Wake lock and foreground service, which are required by Google Play services components.
The Game does not access your camera, microphone or contacts, and it does not ask for your device's location. Some of the services above may work out your approximate location from your IP address, as explained above.
The Game is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
You can request deletion of your account and its associated data at any time:
https://Aayush-jangir.github.io/mirror-reflection/delete-account.html
You may also play the Game entirely as a guest. In that case no account data is created and your progress stays on your device, although ads and purchases still work through AdMob and Unity as described above.
Information that Unity holds about purchases is kept under Unity's own privacy policy. To ask for it to be deleted, see the Unity In-App Purchasing section above.
Data sent between the Game and the services described in this policy is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
