Gaia Streetart
08/2016
Happy August!
With the summer aging, here at Mirkwood Commons we're excited to announce our featured artist this month: Gaia.
Gaia is a street artist and Maryland Institute College of Art graduate with work featured in notable places like The Baltimore Museum of Art, Rice Gallery, Palazzo Collicola Arti Visive, as well as on walls across Europe and the world.
Gaia has gifted the Waverly community with a beautiful piece for the month of August. The untitled 8'x4' panel features a dual portrait of Cetshwayo kaMpande the King of the Zulu Kingdom from 1872 to 1879 and its General during the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879 in both traditional and European war garb alongside a partial depiction of the Battle of Isandlwana.
Gaia's piece will be featured at the corner of East 33 St. and Frisby St. in Baltimore Maryland for the entire month of August and will be available for purchase via auction at the beginning of September.
We're excited to have Gaia featured and excited for you to enjoy his work.
