This is an interview conducted with Franco Frattini, former Italian minister of foreign affairs who also served as the Vice President and European Commissioner for Justice, Freedom and Security from 2004 to 2008. I had the honor to conduct this interview with Mr. Frattini in person in September 2013, when he was running for the post of NATO's secretary general.
