木彫りの猫（キジ白柄）です。

うちのキジ白猫は、目が見えないせいもあって基本的に優しくて臆病な猫ですが、掃除機の音がすると必ず真っ先に飛び出してきて、毛を逆立てて体を目いっぱい膨らませて、凄い剣幕で唸り、妹猫たちを守ります。

道教の神様で鍾馗という者がいるのだけど、病を退ける力があるとして、端午の節句の記念に送ったり、屋根に飾ったりする風習のある地域があります。

My Mirin is basically gentle and timid, partly because he is blind, but whenever he hears the sound of the vacuum cleaner, he is the first to jump out and protect his sister cats, with his fur standing up and his body puffed out to its fullest, roaring with a great swagger.

There is a Taoist god named Jong Kui, who is believed to have the power to ward off illness, and in Japan there is a custom of sending him to commemorate the Dragon Boat Festival or displaying him on roofs.
