It appears that the beaver represents a hard worker.

It appears that they are also the only animal other than humans that remake the environment around them for their own lives.

When I hear about damming up water to create puddles, I immediately think of rice fields as well as dams, but it is about time for the rice fields to fill up with water.

This is a wooden carved beaver.

In Japan, the character for "耕" means to till the fields, but it also means to work diligently.

In Japan, the hoe represents work and diligence. (Hoe to use shines)" is a Japanese proverb meaning that a shiny tool represents diligence and that diligence improves one's character, as the tool rusts if not used.
