杜松子 Juniper berry
ネズの木に現れる小さなカミキリムシです。
ネズは和白檀と言われる香りの良い木なのだそうだけど、海外の仲間はその実を香辛料や薬として使うらしい。
ジンという酒はネズの実で香りづけをした蒸留酒のことなのだそうだ。
These are small longicorn beetle that appear on the temple juniper.
I heard that temple juniper is a fragrant tree known as Japanese sandalwood, and that its fruits are used as a spice and medicine by its overseas associates.
The liquor called "gin" is a distilled spirit flavored with the temple juniper fruit.
Medium：cypress (partly bamboo), and the coloring is acrylic paint.
Size： about 12 cm (height), 5 cm (width), and 8.8(5) cm (depth) (the numbers in parentheses are the size of the body only without parts).
