Started with the 3D printing.
A startup from Lahore really inspired me who created the structure of the 3D printer from Acrylic sheets. In video, it looked awesome. It is cheap.
Most of the 3D printers available in Pakistan are the imported ones. I want to support the local products and as a beginner do not want to go for an expensive option.
So ordered my first 3D printer.
The Z-axis upward movement is controlled by a rubber band in the video. But my package does not come with that rubber band.
I put one in another position, but the printer is still struggling to move in the upward direction.
Talked to Guy in the startup. He is helpful and provide good support on phone. He offered to send back this model to him and we will send you a new model with some extra cost.
Agreed.
Markhor 3D v1 abandoned.
Received the package of Markhor 3D Enabler.
Its in one piece this time.
It looked nice and clean.
It has a spring to support the Z-axis. A good improvement from the rubber band to the spring.
The electronics went to the bottom of the printer, which is great. I like the design.
A Power button at the bottom of the printer.
The software that is used with the Markhor3D is a free software. Ultimaker Cura.
Also the printer can be accessed online.
Connect it to Wifi, and access via markhor3d.local. This is adapted from an open source ESP api. The software part works smooth as long as the manual movement of the motors is done.
The heating system is also fine.
Somehow the filament is not coming out of the printer nozzle.
Spent more than a week on it. But failed to do the first print.
The nozzle is jammed.
The motor could not push the filament properly into the heating system. and of course it is because of the blockage.
Wanted to remove the blockage. Opened many part, and somehow damaged the nozzle. I think I made the 0.4mm nozel 20mm with a screwdriver. :D
Abandoned this printer too.
Exploring the imported options now.
Ender has covered the internet. The youtube is full of Ender.
I found it to be the most popular printer.
Also I am following Scott Yu-Jan youtube channel from a long time now.
https://www.youtube.com/@ScottYuJan
which is where I got interested into 3D printing.
Ender 3 pro seemed like an option.
Surprisingly SYJ also used an Ender 3 pro.
Got convinced from a lot of videos. I definitely need an Ender 3 pro.
