"I feel more motivated to continue my Japanese studies"
In 2024, 2025 and 2026, over 80% of Year 10 attendees responded 4~5/5 to this question in the anonymous post-survey.
"It was really motivating to learn about the opportunities to actually go to Japan."
Mirai is a free student excursion/incursion for Year 10 students of Japanese, with the aim of increasing retention to senior Japanese, and illuminating another dimension to language study beyond the Year 12 exam - a gateway to personal development, adventure, lifelong connections and an identity as a citizen of the world.
Over 10 professional and youth speakers present information about future experiences that can be had with Japanese - on-campus at Macquarie University (NSW), The University of Newcastle (NSW), & Monash University (VIC).
🎁 'Okashi Box' prizes, Kahoots, and 'trivia & talk' games ensure engagement and fun for students.
