Q: How do you raise funds for regular functioning?

Ans: MIRA manages its funds through income from three different sources.

· Registration and monthly contributions received by MIRA from its members.

· Individual donations: from people who have understood the fact that we also need money to manage the entire planning and implementation of our programs.

Q: How do I make monetary contribution to MIRA?

Ans: Here are some options below to contribute;

· For Direct/Online Contribution (by QR code & UPI only)- click here

· On contribution voluntarily you will receive a receipt within 72 hours (3 days) of receiving the amount.

Q: Why do you need monetary support?

Ans: All the programs that are run by MIRA need financial recourse. The scholarship programs and the logistics for the CBC Program also need monetary support. The workforce involved in the process of implementation of program are not always voluntary, various experts and labour force need to be paid.

Q: How much tax exemption will I get for my monetary contribution to MIRA?

Ans: No

Q: Can you tell me how exactly my money has been utilized & for what purpose?

Ans: All the contributions we get go into a big pool of funds we have for carrying on our activities. It is thus difficult to specify the exact utilization of each person’s contribution. You can however get all information about our work, where all we are working, what activities are happening, what is the impact. An easy way to find that out is to refer our newsletters You could also refer to our Annual Reports.

Q: How do I organize collection in my office/colony/schools.. What kind of support MIRA will provide to initiate the collection?

Ans: Collection camps only in state of Odisha will be supported by MIRA.

Once we have the basic information we can guide you on what steps need to be taken before initiating a collection drive. Organizing a collection drive may sound like a simple enough thing, but having done it consistently for the last many years, trust us that we know where the usual bottlenecks come up. We want your collection drive to be a big success, it not only helps us, it encourages more people to take up this kind of initiative.
