CAN I TRAIN OUTSIDE OF MINTONETTE SPORTS?

Players who are under contract with Mintonette Sports are not permitted to do any outside training with other coaches, clubs, or programs without written permission from a club director.

Exclusions:

• College Showcases for recruiting purposes

• College camps and clinics ran by college coaches

• USAV and OVR developmental training (by invitation)

• Weight Training and Physical Therapy

Can I book my own hotel at tournaments?

Our travel policy from our handbook states that players must stay in the club issued hotel.  Staying in another hotel or airbnb's are not exceptions unfortunately.  

If I have family that lives close, can I stay with them?

Most times, yes; however, you will need to request approval from Bailey via the Google Form prior to doing so.

Can I use points?

Yes, you can use points in the same hotel that the team is staying in.  Send a request to Bailey via the Google Form and then email her your point registration confirmation.

What time do we need to check in?

The handbook states that players need to be in the hotel by 10pm the night before the tournament.  If you are the PM wave in a tournament that is 3 or less hours away, you do not need to stay at the hotel the night before - you can drive up that morning.  Anything over 4 hours away requires arrival the night before the event.  For special situations, email Stephanie.

Do I need to book all of the nights up front?

It is recommended that you book the full stay.  It is easier to cancel a night later than to try and add one on.

What if I need to cancel?

All cancellations must be submitted to Bailey via the Google Form.  Some of the housing websites will drop the room all together - and most likely that room will be needed for the club, so we don't want to lose it.  Before canceling because of mistake, try editing your reservation first instead.

What if I am sharing a room with a teammate?

You can submit this request to Bailey via the Google Form.  Sharing is allowed in most cases.

Can I book more than 1 room (split family or extended family attending)?

Request a 2nd room through the Google Form.  The club books 1 room per player.  Most times, this can be accommodated; however, there are some events where we don't get enough rooms as needed.  In the beginning, only book 1 per player before booking a 2nd.
