The unit's goal is to be as accurate as possible. This is not a place for people who want to just goof around for the weekend, then use modern commodities when they're uncomfortable. Everything we do we attempt in a WWII fashion, from the food we eat to the way we sleep. This gives us a better idea of what WWII was like, and thus makes us a very valuable resource for others trying to learn about WWII. Remember, the unit is only as authentic as it's most unauthentic member.
We are here to learn and create immersive experiences for each other, so it is not a place to create rivalries. We should be sources of information for each other, not enemies.
Since we are minors, no action that threatens the existence of the unit will be tolerated. Drugs, underage drinking, or anything along those lines has a zero tolerance policy, and if an individual is caught, the action will be reported to their parents.
We're not the type of people who all show up as officers. Since new recruits have limited knowledge, they will start as privates. Once they have attended a considerable amount of events and gained an adequate amount of knowledge, they may be considered for promotion.
This is an idea that is expressed in the first rule, but deserves a rule of it's own. The senior unit members know what is authentic and unauthentic, so listen to their guidance on certain issues. Do not bring anything in violation of what is authentic or unauthentic. Everyone should be motivated to look like they stepped out of a history book.
The unit is based off of the idea that we can help each other become better reenactors off of our own mistakes and successes. Ask questions about EVERYTHING. If there's something that you need to know, or if there's something you are uncertain about, ask one of the leaders. As the saying goes, ASK YOUR UNIT. Don't buy anything until you run it by a senior member.
