I suppose JapanesePod101 will suit you nice. They have an Absolute Beginner (N5) and a Beginner (N4) sections so you can ease yourself into listening without much pain. I personally recommend to start with any of podcasts hosted by Naomi-sensei.

I recommend using a shadowing book, e.g. below. It builds up from simple sentences to more complex dialog and includes transcriptions (Japanese) and translations (English, Korean, Chinese). Really good for training your listening comprehension.

Theres this youtube channel called benjiro, where he has ~1 hour long chats with native Japanese speakers with video chat. The speakers both speak clearly and at a reasonable level for learners, and benjiro annotates some of the difficult words/phrases written on the side of videos. Check it out, his latest video was very useful to me for listening practice.

I have been learning Japanese by myself for 2 weeks now. I am currently on the 8th lessons of minna no nihongo. The grammar, vocab, kanji have been quite easy, but listening and kaiwa are quite tough to learn . For listening, I am not really able to handle how fast the conversations are . What could I do to improve my listening and pronunciation especially while having no tutor/teacher ? Thank you for reading !

Hi, I have minna no nihongo parked in my bookshelf, along with the official cd, but I have no way to convert the cd into an mp3 or to play it at the moment. Are the audio available online in some official repository on the publisher site?

There are 2 Genki books in the series and are made for beginners (JLPT N5-N4). They are well rounded books that tries to use a balance of speaking, reading, listening and writing. With 23 lessons covering 300 kanji and 1100 vocabulary and grammar.

-My specialty is grammar-besed lesson for beginner. Especially for the lesson with "minna no nihongo" textbook, there are various supplementary materials such as reading and listening. Not only grammar, you can also improve other skills with me.

This subject uses a communicative approach in class to maximise students' potential for effective communication in the target language. A series of activities such as interactive activities working in pairs, small and large groups and/or presentations, are promoted in class to enhance students' engagement through content-based learning. Preparation for class activities requires students to complete exercises and reading/listening/viewing activities prior to class to make effective use of resources and subject material (including resources online), community and peer resources available to them to support their learning. e24fc04721
