Mentoring in the Mathematical Sciences

This workshop will be focused on mentoring, specifically graduate student and postdoc mentoring and advising. The target audience for the workshop is early-stage faculty and late-stage postdocs who are either planning to or currently advising graduate students and postdocs. Our goal is that the workshop will bring together faculty and postdocs at various stages to discuss the many components of graduate student and postdoc mentor-mentee relationships.

We expect the format of the workshop to be mostly small breakout sessions and panel discussions. We have also invited a number of more experienced mentors to help lead these events. 

We invite applications from all that are interested, but particularly encourage applicants from young faculty and postdocs. We have some funding available for travel and accommodations.  The deadline to apply is September 8, 2023.
