I am a philosopher currently working in the Reasoning, Rationality, and Science group at Ruhr University Bochum. From Spring 2026, I will be a Postdoctoral Researcher at MCMP (LMU Munich), where I will hold a DFG-funded Eigene Stelle (individual research position) within the ANR–DFG project “Qualitative Grading in Science”, serving as Co-Principal Investigator.
Previously, I worked at CONCEPT at the University of Cologne and studied at MCMP. I also serve as a PhilPapers category editor for Formal Social Epistemology and Judgement Aggregation.
My research focuses on formal epistemology, social epistemology, and decision theory. In particular, I study the relationship between logical and probabilistic beliefs, and the rational aggregation of individual probabilistic beliefs into group-level logical beliefs. I am also working on governing norms for qualitative grading and imprecise credence, as well as the logic of epistemic and normative reasons.
On this website, you can find information about my published papers, work in progress, and teaching materials. If you have any questions or are interested in my work, please feel free to contact me at minkyungwang_at_gmail_dot_com.
