If you want open-ear earbuds with a listed 48-hour battery life and app-based locating, choose MINISO MS162; if you need clip-on earbuds with a flexible ear hook, IPX4 water resistance, and 52 hours of total playback, choose JKNKCO NE55. For big ears, I’d lean toward the NE55’s hook-style fit, while the MS162 makes more sense if translation tools and finding misplaced earbuds matter more.
• MINISO MS162 strength: Open-ear design, translation through the EarJoy app, and a built-in locating function; trade-off: its published battery figures differ, and there’s no stated water-resistance rating.
• JKNKCO NE55 strength: Flexible clip-on ear hooks, IPX4 water resistance, and up to 52 hours of total playback with the case; trade-off: its feature details don’t mention an earbud-finding tool.
• Choose MINISO MS162 if you want translation features, app-based locating, and the flexibility of touch, app, and voice controls.
• Choose JKNKCO NE55 if you want a hook-style fit, stated sweat and light-rain protection, and a clearly specified six hours of playback per charge.
The MS162 is an open-ear Bluetooth earbud with translation features that work through the EarJoy app. The product information describes real-time translation, device-assisted translation, and an AI chat function, and says the app supports iOS and Android. The listed language counts aren’t fully consistent: one feature says 135 languages, while the product title says 150. I’d treat the dependable takeaway as support for a large range of languages rather than assume the higher figure.
Its practical extras give it a distinctive angle. You can use touch controls, the app, or voice controls, and the built-in locating function can show a last-connected location or trigger a sound alert. The listed wireless range is 10 meters. That combination may suit travel or work situations where language support and keeping track of earbuds are priorities. The open-ear form may also appeal if you dislike having an earbud sit inside the ear canal.
Battery figures need a little care. The feature list says 50 hours, while the product information lists 48 hours; the listed charge time is 1.5 hours. Neither figure explains the conditions or how much playback comes from the earbuds versus any charging component, so I wouldn’t use the headline total alone to predict a full day’s listening. The sheet also mentions active noise cancellation, but doesn’t explain how that works alongside the open-ear design. I’d avoid choosing it on the assumption that it blocks outside sound like a sealed earbud.
For shoppers looking for comfortable headband headphones for big ears, the MS162 isn’t a headband model; it’s an open-ear earbud. That distinction matters. The product information doesn’t specify an adjustable band, ear-hook shape, or measurements that would let me predict fit for a particular ear. Consider it if you prefer an open-ear format and value its app-based translation and locating features. Skip it if you specifically want a flexible clip-on hook, a documented water-resistance rating, or battery information stated in one consistent way.

The NE55 uses an open-ear clip-on design with a flexible ear hook. JKNKCO says each earbud weighs 5 grams and describes the ear canal as remaining open, which may make this style worth considering if you dislike in-ear pressure or want to stay aware of surrounding sounds. The product information also calls out glasses wearers, but fit is personal: an ear hook can feel different depending on ear shape and how it sits alongside glasses.
Its practical case is clearer on a few everyday details. The NE55 offers up to six hours of continuous playback per charge and up to 52 hours total with its charging case. It uses Type-C charging and Bluetooth 6.0, with a stated connection range of up to 10 meters. IPX4 water resistance is specified for sweat and light rain, making it the more clearly documented choice here for workouts or outdoor commutes where some moisture is a concern. That rating should not be read as protection for swimming or submersion.
The translation feature is described as supporting 135-plus languages and accents, with two-way translation through an app and no subscription required. Touch controls cover calls, music, a voice assistant, and translation modes. The product details do not list an earbud-finding feature, voice-control method, or active noise cancellation. If you want those particular features, the MS162 has more explicit support for locating earbuds and lists voice controls and active noise cancellation.
For big ears, the NE55’s flexible ear hook gives it a more specific fit design to consider than the MS162’s general open-ear description. Still, neither product sheet supplies ear dimensions or a range of fit adjustments, so I wouldn’t promise that the hook will suit every wearer. Consider the NE55 if you want clip-on earbuds, moisture protection, and a stated per-charge playback figure. Look elsewhere if you require a documented locating function or want to judge fit from detailed sizing information.
• Best fit style to consider for big ears → JKNKCO NE55. Its flexible ear hook is described directly; the MS162’s listing only identifies an open-ear design.
• Best for finding misplaced earbuds → MINISO MS162. Its app can show a last-connected location and trigger a sound alert.
• Best documented choice for workouts or light rain → JKNKCO NE55. It lists IPX4 water resistance for sweat and light rain; the MS162 sheet gives no water-resistance rating.
• Best when you want a stated per-charge playback figure → JKNKCO NE55. It specifies up to six hours on one charge and up to 52 hours with its case.
• Best for multiple control options → MINISO MS162. Its listed controls include touch, app, and voice; the NE55 lists app and touch.
• Best for a translation-focused feature set → MINISO MS162. Alongside app-based translation, it lists device-assisted mode and AI chat. The NE55 also offers two-way translation, but those additional modes aren’t listed.
• Best for a clearly stated connection standard → JKNKCO NE55. Its listing specifies Bluetooth 6.0; the MS162 lists Bluetooth 5.4.
• Best for a more cautious language-count comparison → Tie, with a caveat. Both sheets describe support for at least 135 languages, but the MS162’s own figures vary between 135 and 150, while the NE55 says 135-plus.
My Verdict
I’d switch to the MINISO MS162 if app-based locating, voice controls, or its additional translation modes matter more to me.
Neither sheet gives enough sizing detail to guarantee comfort, so the hook is a reason to consider the NE55, not a promise of fit.
