Registration
On arrival, please proceed to your age group pitch. Registration forms should be handed to a BSE coach who will be at the age group flag. All teams must complete the registration form with the players name, RFU ID and date of birth. No teams are allowed to include under or over age players unless RFU exception has been granted (proof will be required prior to the day).
Once registered your point of contact will be your BSE Minis head coach:
U7 – Matt Driver U8 – Laura Marshall
U9 – Gordan Markham U10 – Pete Reddington
U11 – Ed Farrow U12 – Will Cranstoun
Please contact Beth Stacey, Minis Chair for any other queries – 07710 697049.
Coaches and Referee briefing
Coach and referee briefing will be held on your age group pitches at 9.45. A representative from each club and age group is expected at these briefings. As per the RFU Age Grade guidance this is a true festival therefore scores may be recorded but have no bearing on a team’s participation as all clubs will play the same amount of rugby.
Games kick off at 10:00 sharp. Referees are to be provided by the named club in the pool to avoid bias.
Please respect the half game rule and ensure all players get equal time.
Please complete handshakes and congratulations off the pitch so that times can be adhered to!
*In the event of any “no shows”, the Festival organiser reserves the right to alter the pool structure to the benefit of the competition
MAIN SPONSOR
Proud to support grassroots rugby
Ipswich School is delighted to support the Bury St Edmunds Rugby Minis Festival and to play a part in a day that celebrates everything that is special about grassroots rugby.
From a first experience of competitive rugby to the friendships, teamwork and memories made along the way, Minis rugby provides a fantastic foundation for young players. We are proud to support an event that brings together players, coaches, volunteers and families from across the region.
Rugby has a long and proud tradition at Ipswich School. Our programme provides opportunities for pupils of all ages and abilities, from those discovering the game for the first time through to players competing at national level and progressing into professional academies and international age-group rugby.
While success on the pitch is celebrated, the values that come through rugby are equally important: teamwork, commitment, resilience and respect.
We hope every player taking part enjoys the experience, plays with a smile and leaves with some great memories.
Good luck to all the teams competing today, and thank you to everyone at Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club who has worked so hard to make the Festival possible.
