## Get help or suggest a feature

Include your app version (Settings → Version), device model, iOS/iPadOS version, and the steps that caused the problem. Screenshots can help, but remove personal information first. Do not send payment details, private financial information, passwords, or other sensitive data.

## Getting started
- Tap an amount to type a value. The other currencies update as you type.
- Tap **Add currency** to search by currency name or code.
- Drag a currency's three-dot handle to reorder it. Use its menu to make it the base currency or remove it.
- Use the calculator button above the keyboard for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Tap **=** or **Done** to finish.
- Open **Settings** to choose 0–6 decimal places or turn automatic rate updates on or off.
## Does it work offline?
Yes. The app includes a dated exchange-rate snapshot and saves downloaded rates, so conversions continue without an internet connection, including on first launch. Offline rates can be out of date. Reconnect to refresh them.
## Why does a conversion differ from my bank?
The app provides reference conversions. Banks, card networks, cash exchanges, and payment services may apply different rates, spreads, or fees. The app does not move money or guarantee a transaction rate. Check the final rate with your provider before making a transaction.
## Rates are not updating
Check your connection and Settings → Automatic rate updates. Automatic checks occur while the app is active. With automatic updates off, use the refresh button. If a data provider is unavailable, the app tries another provider and keeps the last usable rates. The update status shows the last successful check; failed requests do not make old data appear new.
## Data and privacy
Amounts and calculations stay on your device. The App Store version uses Firebase Analytics to understand feature usage. See the [privacy policy](https://sites.google.com/view/currency-converter-priv-p/home) for the data collected and the services involved.
