COME AND SUPPORT
THESE AMAZING YOUNG ARTISANS!
Good question! Start by thinking of a product or service that solves a problem, is a hot new trend or just something they love to do. Kids can sell almost anything! It can be handmade items or services. Every kid must have an active role in making or sourcing their product or service. Food may be sold only if it's pre-packaged and a Home Processor or Food Permit can be supplied prior to registering.
Absolutely NO: fundraisers, MLMs (multi-level marketing) or selling products on behalf of parents.
Let your child do the selling,
but stay a comfortable distance. This will help your child have a one-on-one conversation with the buyers. They will come away from each experience more confident!
Kids are in charge!
Let them price their own products. You can help them price items in increments they can calculate and make change for.
Be their guide
Encourage independence, but let them know you'll be right there to guide them. Try practicing at home by role-playing a real transaction.
