So cute! I went right away to Fat Quarter Shop and got your Mini Hex and More ruler and Mini Disco pattern. I even considered hanging the ruler on my key chain. It's that cute.I have some fabric burning a hole in my cutting board just waiting for a mini quilt. Can't wait until it gets here.

I have a fun quilting tutorial featuring my favorite curved quilting ruler today! I've been looking forward to teaching you how to use the mini slide quilting ruler and how to add beautiful curving lines to your quilts.

Both the Mini Slide Ruler and Super Slide Ruler are continuous line curves. This means if you start and stop quilting 1/4-inch from the ends of the ruler, line will continue seamlessly to create a perfect flowing curve.

My first tip for quilting with any ruler is to use something grippy on the back to help it stay in position as you quilt. I like using True Grips which add a bit of grippy texture to the back, but don't stick too firmly to the quilt surface. Click Here to find True Grips.

When quilting long curving lines the most important thing is to keep the ruler straight with the seam lines of your quilt if that's the look you're going for. I lined up one of the etched lines on the ruler with a seam line on the Double Stripe Diamond Quilt so I could stitch the curve continuously down the length of the quilt.

As I echoed back up that line occasionally I found the line I previously stitched not matching up perfectly with the etched lines on the ruler. You can fudge it ever so slightly by shifting the ruler to left or right while you're in the deepest part of the curve.

Septembers Monthly Stitch Challenge is going to be vintage patterns and I am considering finally making up one of my vintage Lutterloh or Enid Gilchrist patterns. This will mean a little bit of pattern drafting. I have a Lutterloh tape measure but not the drafting ruler and it just occurred to me that the SA Curve ruler will come in handy for this and any other patten drafting I might do as well.

I have problem with the ruler , when I want to measure , it is too small to see the numbers. and when I want to zoon in/out, it will be more smaller. my windows was Arabic language version, and when I change it to English, the ruler size become ok for just few days and again became so tiny to see. So I contact kicad twitter account, but the account responsible did not replay or solve my issue.

Has anyone come across a ruler with 1/12 markings? For some reason, as I woke up this morning, I found myself trying to figure out what 1/2" would be in 1/12 scale should I ever get around to making the leaded glass windows I've been thinking about. Needless to say, my brain got badly bruised in the process.

Art supply shops carry rulers for architects & printers & after I killed myself eyeballing the scale measurements to make all my sandpaper "bricks" I noticed my clear ruler with red markings is marked in picas (6 letters/ inch) and half-picas (1" in 1:12 scale!). Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the links to the ruler! I'm not real computer literate, but I think I "saved" it, and will print it out. I've got some cardstock here that I think will be good for a pocket sized one I can take when I go shopping!
