For this project, this electronic dice roller had to be switch adapted. The photo to the left displays the finalized switch adapted dice roller with the external switch connected.
Above shows a close-up of the soldering done to switch adapt this dice roller. First, a multimeter was used to check continuity to make sure this roller worked at all. Then, the motor was connected directly to ground on the battery pack. Next, power on the battery was connect to one of the adapted switch wires.
The remaining switch wire was connected to the power on the motor. Once the soldering was complete, electrical tape was used to cover any exposed solder or wires. Finally, sticky tack was used to connect the base of the dice roller to the tap piece since the screws given didn't fit in the corresponding screw holes.
