What is Mingle?
The 12th annual welcome conference for new and returning postgraduates in the School of Mathematics at the University of Bristol. A selection of talks by current and recent PGRs.
For the first time, Mingle will be run entirely online, and split over two days (24-25th September).
Students
Mingle is deliberately placed in the first week of the academic year in order to introduce new postgraduate students to the department, to each other and to the existing students. It should be a fun day, where you’ll have chance to find out a little about the research being done by each of the groups in the department.
Talks
To give you a better understanding of the wonderful world of maths that you're a part of, there will be a mix of talks throughout the day, which will be both about maths and postgraduate life in general. There will also be some fun activities to help you mingle!

All in all, Mingle is a relaxed event where everyone can have some fun, and hopefully learn something along the way!
