I am broadly interested in the impacts of stress on mental health and how it interplays with cognitive and affective mechanisms (in particular, emotion regulation) in the development and maintenance of depression and anxiety. I use multi-method, multi-level approaches to multi-modal data (e.g., self-reports, experimental tasks, ambulatory assessment and wearables, clinical interviews, psychophysiology, and neuroimaging) to capture individual differences and temporal dynamics. The goal is to identify mechanistic processes to refine psychopathology theory, improve assessment, and optimize interventions.
