Privacy Policy for MineDay

This Privacy Policy describes how MineDay ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our habit tracking application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address — if you sign up with email

• Name — if provided during registration

• Apple ID — if you sign in with Apple (we may receive a private relay email)

• Google account info — name and email, if you sign in with Google

App Data

We collect and store data you create in the app:

• Habits you create and their settings

• Daily completion records

• Streaks, gems, XP, level, and other game progress

• Notification preferences

Technical Data

• Device type and iOS version (collected by Firebase automatically)

• App crash reports and performance data (via Firebase Crashlytics, if enabled)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and sync your habit data across devices

• Save your progress and gamification state

• Send you push notifications (only if you enable them)

• Process in-app subscription purchases

• Improve app performance and fix bugs

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore), a secure cloud database. Data is stored on Google's servers and protected according to Google's security standards.

4. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

MineDay offers optional Premium subscriptions processed through Apple App Store (StoreKit). We do not collect or store your payment information — all transactions are handled entirely by Apple.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

5. Biometric Data

If you enable Face ID or Touch ID lock, authentication is handled entirely by iOS and Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. We do not collect, store, or have access to your biometric data.

6. Push Notifications

We send push notifications only if you grant permission. Notifications are used to remind you to complete your habits. You can disable notifications at any time in iPhone Settings or within the app.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Google Firebase — data storage and authentication

• Google Sign-In — optional authentication method

• Apple StoreKit — subscription management

8. Guest Mode

If you use the app without creating an account (Guest Mode), your data is stored locally on your device only and is not synced to the cloud.

9. Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. This will remove your account from Firebase Authentication. Your locally stored data can be cleared via Profile → Settings → Reset All Progress.

10. Children's Privacy

MineDay is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
