Wither StormBehaviorHostileSpawnBuilt by Ivor during Endercon in S1E1The wither storm or witherstorm is an enormous, advanced, wither-like mob that served as the main antagonist for the first four episodes of Season 1 of Minecraft: Story Mode.

When created, the wither storm appeared to be a regular wither with a command block lodged within its ribcage. Though as it began to pull in the surrounding blocks, it quickly transformed into a gigantic, black creature with long, powerful tentacles along with three heads. Each head has one purple, glowing eye and a large set of mandibles. When it picks up blocks to build its body, they turn into an ash-like block that is absorbed into it. The interior is similar with the exception of purple and gray variants of the blocks or mobs it has absorbed.

While the Wither Storm still held some of the similarities as a normal wither, it contained a few enderman-esque qualities as well. This is likely either due to the Command Block being used to erase the ender dragon out of existence or withering being similar to the corrupted-like state the End represents. Some examples being the tractor beam being able to pull blocks and objects towards itself which can be compared to the abilities of the endermen picking up blocks. Both are able to manipulate a block's location without tools or breaking it. The wither storm's tractor beam and certain absorbed objects were also purple; the associated color of the End and corruption. It also has visual similarities to heart of ender from Minecraft Dungeons which was created after Minecraft: Story Mode.

At the end of "The Last Place You Look", the wither storm was split into three separate entities. They all had only one head, but later in "A Block and a Hard Place" each of them grew two more heads. Two of them were quite smaller than the main larger one who also had the command block within.

The wither storm was powered by the Command Block, so to defeat it, Jesse used an enchanted weapon (with Command Block powers) to destroy the Command Block. Reuben helped by retrieving the enchanted weapon for Jesse and bringing it to them, though endangering himself in the process. This defeated the wither storm and assured it would never reanimate back to life.

He is convinced that there is a way to "spawn" a wither storm - here is what we thought we had to do: create a wither with a base soul sand block, then 3 blocks across the top of that forming a T- middle block replaced with a command block (using /give {username} minecraft:command_block). then we placed a wither skeleton skull on the top left soul sand block, then placed a second wither skeleton skull on the top right, and then theoretically, we thought that by placing a 3rd skull in the middle (on top of the command block), that magically, a wither storm would appear...instead, a "set command" window appears and we have tried two dozen things and nothing does anything.

Once you downloaded the mob, it will replace the wither with the wither storm. You don't need a command block to create a wither storm, that can only happen in MCSM (Minecraft story mode). If you want to change it back, you can do that in the tool settings. :-)

The house serves no purpose other than a way to spawn the storm in Survival, as well as resources like the anvil or the papers in the barrels, it generates with every map so long as "Generate Structures" is enabled in the "More World Options" menu. Place the missing wither skull on the incomplete wither to unleash the storm.

As I said before, the mob is very huge, try not to spawn near your houses, as nothing will be left of them!

The wither storm boss is spawned just the same way as the normal wither boss in minecraft. You will need four soul sands and three wither skulls to spawn it. Place the last wither skull on the top center soul sand to spawn it.

It's much larger than the normal wither boss and as a result also much stronger. It's most likely impossible to defeat this boss all by yourself. But if you do, be sure to let us know in the comments how you did it!

Shooting arrows is probably the easiest way to damage the mob in MCPE in the beginning as it gives you the necessary range to avoid the explosions. If you get a direct hit by a wither skull then you'll get a levitation effect and it's a risk you'll get killed next. If a wither skull hits the ground then it will cause a lingering wither effect for 12 seconds.

By the second hand, the mob becomes invulnerable to arrows, I advise you to use a sword or the example below!

The best choice for fighting after the second stage is sword fighting, but you will likely find it difficult to approach. I advise you to put up a large number of minecraft TNT's before the battle. Once you are unable to damage the boss, lure him onto TNT and set it on fire. The damage will be critical, at least so you can fight this invincible creature in minecraft.

For defeating the boss himself, you will receive a Downworld Star as a reward. This is certainly not the best reward for winning the biggest boss in Minecraft Pocket Edition. But it's definitely a feat worth boasting of! At least if you defeated it in survival mode which I surely didn't.
