Hello! How can I detect when the player is using a spyglass with commands? I would check if there's an nbt for it but the nbt data fills my entire chat, longer than the vanilla game would allow me to scroll. Anyone know if I can detect when the player uses a spyglass?

When making a spyglass, it is important that the amethyst shard and copper ingots are placed in the exact pattern as the image below. In the first row, there should be 1 amethyst shard in the second box. In the second row, there should be 1 copper ingot in the second box. In the third row, there should be 1 copper ingot in the second box. This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for a spyglass.

Hello world !

I seek some help here, i'm trying to do some minigame and it would help me if someone knows how could we detect players being observed through a spyglass.

I mean, if the vanilla game can detect a player spying a ghast, a parrot or an enderdragon and give you an achievement for it, maybe could we detect players with them.

And i want to give them a glowing effect when it occurs.

(Note, i only want a specific entity glowing, not an @a command)

Can someone help me out ? :]

The spyglass is a brand-new item that can be made with a bunch of new resources also introduced in the first half of the update. It can be pretty hard to figure out naturally how to make a spyglass, since it doesn't actually involve any glass blocks or glass panes. If you're looking to go adventuring and would like to craft the spyglass as soon as possible, look no further.

I am trying to add a sniper rifle to Minecraft with an addon, and I would like to add a zoom effect for sneaking players holding it. The only spyglass JSON files I've found have been related to the modeling and texture. I have found that the spyglass adjusts the FOV to 1/10 of whatever the player currently has it set to, and that reminded me of the setting FOV Can Be Altered By Gameplay.

Older versions of Spyglass Astronomy are incompatible with the mod Spyglass Improvements, however Spyglass Astronomy comes with its own scrollable spyglass zoom, and other mods, like Zoomglass, exist to allow for spyglass hotkeys

Spyglass is a new item that is pretty easy to craft in Minecraft, but players will need to use some of the new materials in the game to craft it. The spyglass is crafted using two copper ingots and one amethyst shard.

When players are out in the middle of the ocean, and they do not know where the nearest land is, players can use a spyglass to zoom in to try to locate land. Sometimes, the shore can be too distant for players to see while in the middle of the ocean.

Spyglass can be used as a method to scout out mobs in the game. If players want to scout out a village before entering or want to scout out a pillager outpost to plan the best way to attack, using a spyglass is very resourceful.

Minecraft players can use the spyglass to look for specific places or structures on the map. For example, if a player is looking for a shipwreck in the middle of the ocean, they can use the spyglass to look further out to see if they spot one.

A spyglass helps players zoom into objects at a distance. This is an aspect of the game that Minecraft fans have been suggesting for years now, and Mojang has finally introduced it into the game. While many gamers had previously opted to add the zoom feature through the use of the popular OptiFine mod, zooming in is now part of vanilla Minecraft thanks to the spyglass.

Along with the addition of the spyglass comes brand new advancements for players to collect as well. These advancements give players more incentive to utilize their spyglass, and they are unique tasks to complete. The Minecraft spyglass advancements will be explained below.

This is the only overworld spyglass advancement so far, and yet it is perhaps the most difficult of them all to obtain. This is because parrots can only be found in jungle biomes, and jungle biomes are among the rarest biomes in all of Minecraft. Therefore, it may take a long while to get this particular advancement unlocked in a typical Minecraft world.

Minecraft players know that ghasts are hard to miss because of how large and loud they are. Gamers will have to go out of their way to zoom in on them with a spyglass in order to unlock this advancement. Players should be careful and speedy when seeking this advancement though, since ghasts are quick to shoot at players.

When used, the Spyglass zooms in the player's vision, similar to a spyglass in vanilla Minecraft. Using the Spyglass again or switching to another item toggles the zoom off. The player also cannot move normally while the Spyglass is zoomed in.

A spyglass functions in the same way a telescope does. You can use it to zoom in on a fixed position from really far away. Your field of view is also incredibly narrow when using it, so do make sure there are no hostile mobs nearby. You also move at a far slower speed while you are looking through the spyglass. 17dc91bb1f
