MultiMC is an alternative launcher for Minecraft. It allows you to have multiple, cleanly separated instances of Minecraft (each with their own mods, resource packs, saves, etc) and helps you manage them and their associated options with a simple and powerful interface.

MultiMC is based on the code hosted on GitHub. The source is only provided for the purpose of collaboration. The changes in the binary distribution compared to code are the inclusion of branding and API keys required for the launcher to function, along with packaging-related adjustments.

Obviously, you have seen more than one launcher for the game but surely found a lot of shortcomings and flaws in them, so you are here to get the maximum emotions from Minecraft because of the huge amount of content and features provided by us. We are one step ahead of many and will always be because the development of TLauncher does not cease even for one day!

There is currently an ongoing incident within the Minecraft modding community where malware has been found to be included in some Minecraft mods (and bukkit plugins) on CurseForge. This included being included in some modpacks.

There are some smart people going through and finding out what the malware does, but at a high level it looks like it steals authentication credentials for Minecraft/Microsoft accounts that are logged into various launchers (not including ATLauncher), as well as stealing browser cookies and discord tokens as well as other things.

It self replicates itself, injecting a payload into any Minecraft mods in your system so that it can spread, and that's believed to be how it got onto CurseForge, unknowingly uploaded after the devs machines were infected.

Due to the fact that it can replicate itself into mods, it's highly likely that anyone who has been infected with the malware now has it injected into the mods on their system.

You can check if you're infected by using the detector tools released by CurseForge here.

The situation is still very much ongoing, and we'll be looking to place mitigations in place within the launcher to check for the presence of these infected mods as well as at the system level if you're infected. Will be looking to roll that out soon, again some smart people are looking into mitigations and what can be done to detect and remove the malware.

While more information is still being found out, for now the recommendation is to still not download any mods from anywhere which includes CurseForge, Modrinth and from any other sources, including friends.

If you have any questions or more information, please visit us in Discord in the #malware-incident channel.

Mojang have announced that on September 19th they will turn off login for unmigrated accounts. This will mean you'll no longer be able to login and play Minecraft.

We will remove legacy unmigrated account login from the launcher once Mojang have confirmed to have turned the login servers off.

If you still haven't migrated your account, please make sure you do so now so you don't lose access. If you're having troubles migrating or need help, take a look at Mojang's migration FAQ page.

At the request of Slowpoke on behalf of FTB team, we've had to remove FTB packs from our launcher.

Pre existing instances will continue to work, but you will not be able to install new instances or update/reinstall previous ones going forward.

We've been told there may be allowances in the future to allow the inclusion of some packs again, but for the moment the importing of pre existing installs from the FTB launcher have been given the okay, and we'll be working to allow that for those that wish to use it in the future.

ExtremeLauncher is a freely available unofficial Minecraft launcher governed by the MIT license. It has been specifically developed to provide a swift and lightweight alternative to slower launchers in the market. Both offline-mode and online-mode functionalities are supported, although online-mode can only be utilized with a Microsoft account that has been previously migrated. ExtremeLauncher accommodates all Minecraft versions, requiring the appropriate installation of the corresponding Java version on your computer.

Meet the Minecraft Launcher for Windows, a centralized platform available on the Microsoft Store. This launcher streamlines access to Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, Minecraft: Java Edition, and Minecraft Dungeons, presenting an all-in-one solution for enthusiasts of these titles.

This free utility serves as a one-stop gateway to the Minecraft universe, encompassing the Bedrock version, the classic Java Edition, and the immersive Minecraft Dungeons. Despite being a free launcher, the games themselves require individual purchases. However, a notable advantage is its facilitation of cross-platform play, enabling seamless gaming experiences across different devices and platforms.

Each game offered through the launcher delivers a unique gaming experience. Minecraft for Windows offers the quintessential open-world adventure, ripe with creative possibilities and collaborative ventures. In contrast, Minecraft Dungeons leans into narrative-driven gameplay, immersing players in dungeon-crawling expeditions fraught with challenges and treasures.

For PC players seeking a consolidated approach to enjoying Minecraft's diverse offerings, this launcher proves invaluable. With minimal system requirements (Windows 10 version 18362.0 or higher, x64 architecture), it consumes a mere 10.13 MB of storage.

When operating smoothly, this utility proves invaluable, consolidating most Minecraft games within one platform. It alleviates the burden of managing multiple game launchers to access the trio of Minecraft titles. Specially for newcomers venturing into Minecraft, experimenting with the Minecraft Launcher could be highly beneficial.

Download Minecraft Launcher for Windows now and unlock a seamless pathway to your favorite Minecraft titles. Explore, create, and embark on adventures across multiple Minecraft games without the hassle of juggling different launchers.

Do notice that the Minecraft launcher is different from the actual minecraft game. The Minecraft launcher has been detected by the graphics card and I believe it's powering it but the actual game is powered by the integrated graphics card. The Minecraft game is a java environment which when I added it to the Radeon Settings showed me that it was another game called Jedi Academy or something along those lines. Even when Minecraft is running, the graphics card it uses is still the integrated one after adding the Javaw.exe environment to the Radeon settings.

Does anyone have any suggestions or fixes of their own? Thanks in advance.

As stated previously using windows built-in Graphics settings you can force the applications to use the graphics card. The main applications that you are looking for are java.exe and javaw.exe.

You can find these files in a number of places:

For modded using the lastest Curse Forge launcher by Overwolf:

C:\Users\*ProfileName*\Twitch\MinecraftInstall\runtime\bin

C:\Users\*ProfileName*\Twitch\MinecraftInstall\runtime\jre-x64\bin

C:\Users\*ProfileName*\Twitch\MinecraftInstall\runtime\jre-legacy\windows-x64\jre-legacy\bin

(jre-legacy is probably the one you are looking for as they said they would continue to use the legacy launcher)

The latest (recently updated) Minecraft Launcher from Mojang:

C:\Users\*ProfileName*\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.4297127D64EC6_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Local\runtime\jre-legacy\windows-x64\jre-legacy\bin

Feel free to add any other locations there might be as the install locations have changed from launcher to launcher

The legacy win32 launcher and I believe one older version exists. To find out where these files are just launch the game, open task manager and right-click the Java(TM) Platform SE binary program, and click the open file location to find out where it is running from.

You want to set those to the High-Performance setting.

-As of writing this may be optional.

In order for these files to be configured using Radeon, you have to go into your Radeon application and add the javaw.exe and maybe the java.exe files to your game, in the Gaming tab. To add a game go to the said tab and look for three dots on the right, click them. and press "Add A Game..."

You can then configure the game however you wish, with the exception of the "Anisotropic Filtering" setting, which you want to disable, This setting was causing white borders around blocks, which has to do with the texture filtering.

The in game settings are not going to enable/disable gpu usage. From what I can tell it could only be a driver issue, I would make sure other games use the gpu. I would also make sure you have a currently supported gpu. I do not really see why the gpu would not be recognized and use for minecraft by windows if you followed the above steps. Therefore, it would have to be either the gpu itself or the game. Minecraft java can be a bit finicky to work with due to its age too.

When downloading and installing the minecraft launcher from the offical website, there is no step for me to choose the install path and its always in C:\XboxGames. Anyway for me to change the path into C:\GameLaunchers?

Yes! When I downloaded and ran the legacy .msi launcher install from Mojang, it asked where I wanted to install the launcher. Set that to your target directory and you are good to go! You might experience issues because Windows is very picky about where you store your files. C:/ is your root directory, and Windows likes you to store and install your stuff in your user directory. ff782bc1db
