1.21.9 New Items, Blocks, and Mobs

 The Minecraft 1.21.9 update, also referred to as the "The Copper Age" game drop for the Bedrock Edition, added several new items and blocks focused on expanding the use of copper. 

The main items and blocks introduced in this update include:

New Items

• Shelf: A new block (made from wood planks) used to store and display up to three items, offering Redstone interaction capabilities [1].

• Copper Golem Spawn Egg & Golem Core: The Golem Core is used to craft the Copper Golem, a new utility mob that organizes items and can oxidize into a statue [1].

• Vault & Trial Key (Bedrock Edition): These were formally rolled out to the Bedrock Edition as part of the core 1.21.x updates, which align with this update's timeline [1]. 

• Copper Nugget: Can be obtained by smelting copper tools or armor and is used in crafting copper torches and chains.

• Copper Armor: A full set (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) that is more durable than leather or gold armor, but less than iron.

• Copper Tools/Weapons: A set of tools (axe, hoe, pickaxe, shovel) and a sword that are as effective as stone tools but have higher durability.

• Copper Horse Armor: A new variant of horse armor found as loot in chests. 

New Blocks

• Copper Grate: A block with a unique texture and partial transparency, allowing light through while blocking movement [1].

• Chiseled Copper: A new decorative copper block variant [1].

• Copper Stairs, Slabs, and Walls: Stairs, slabs, and wall variants for all four stages of copper oxidation (clean, exposed, weathered, oxidized) [1].

• Copper Door and Copper Trapdoor: New door and trapdoor options that oxidize over time, offering new building possibilities [1].

• Copper Bulb (Off and On variants): A light source that can be toggled via Redstone and changes brightness based on its oxidation level [1].

• Copper Chest: A new storage block that oxidizes over time, functions like a regular chest, and can be interacted with by Copper Golems for item sorting.

• Shelves: A decorative block, available in all wood variants, that can store up to three item stacks. When powered by redstone, it allows for quick hotbar swaps.

• Copper Golem Statue Block: An oxidized copper golem eventually turns into this decorative, posable statue block which emits a Redstone signal based on its pose.

• Copper Bars: A copper version of iron bars that oxidizes over time.

• Copper Chain: A copper version of the iron chain (which was renamed "Iron Chain") that also oxidizes.

• Copper Torch: A new light source that emits green light.

• Copper Lantern: Crafted with a copper torch and copper nuggets, it emits green light and oxidizes over time.

• Oxidizing Lightning Rods: Lightning rods now have all four stages of oxidation. 

New Mobs

• Copper Golem: A player-created mob that enjoys organizing items by taking them from Copper Chests and putting them into nearby standard chests.
